Cessna Judge Refuses To Strike Flight School Defense

Law360 (July 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge in Kansas has denied a bid by plaintiffs seeking damages over the crash of a Cessna Model 208B Caravan aircraft to strike a summary judgment motion filed by a defendant flight school because of federal court procedures.

Judge Kathryn H. Vratil of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas on Friday overruled the plaintiffs motion to strike FlightSafety International Inc.'s motion for summary judgment because of Rule 12(f) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
