Judge Certifies Huge Class In ADA Suit

Law360 (July 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of plaintiffs that could number in the tens of thousands has been granted class certification in a case challenging United Parcel Service Inc.'s employment policies under the Americans with Disabilities Act, in a case plaintiffs' attorneys say may be the largest employee class action ever lodged pursuant to the ADA.

U.S. District Judge Joy Flowers Conti issued her 204-page memorandum opinion certifying the class on July 16, and re-issued it on the July 26 to correct a typographical error in one of the footnotes....
