State AGs Skeptical Of Google's New Privacy Policy

Law360, New York (February 22, 2012, 7:07 PM EST) -- Three dozen attorneys general on Wednesday joined the chorus of government officials voicing concerns over Google Inc.'s new privacy policy, the same day a media reform group filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission aiming to halt the changes.

Google announced Jan. 24 that it would begin tracking user information across all its products to create a more integrated platform. The new regime, which will combine more than 70 privacy documents into one policy, is slated to take effect March 1.
