Dems Blast Verizon-Cable Plan As Competition 'Truce'

Herb Kohl, D-Wis., accused Verizon Communications Inc. and four of the country's biggest cable companies Wednesday of practically reaching a "truce" to limit competition with a multibillion-dollar wireless spectrum sale and a series of cross-marketing agreements that could leave the country on the verge of "losing the war" to keep two cellular giants from dominating their industry.
