2 Cop To Roles In Tax Lien Bid-Rigging Scheme

Law360, New York (February 23, 2012, 6:42 PM EST) -- Two investors pled guilty in New Jersey federal court Thursday to conspiring to rig municipal tax lien auctions and have agreed to cooperate with the government's ongoing investigation of the matter.

Robert W. Stein of Huntington Valley, Pa., and David M. Farber of Cherry Hill, N.J., were each hit with a felony charge and face up to 10 years in prison and a $1 million penalty for each of their alleged violations of the Sherman Act, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
