Lawmakers Mull Wasteful Spending Revealed In GAO Report

Law360, New York (February 28, 2012, 3:25 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has identified 128 areas of federal spending plagued by redundancies and missed opportunities for revenue — including oil and gas leases and Medicare — but lawmakers doubt their own ability to deliver reforms, a Tuesday hearing revealed.
