Dairy Farmers Seek Fresh Cert. In Milk Antitrust MDL

Law360, New York (February 28, 2012, 4:16 PM EST) -- A proposed class of dairy farmers asked a Tennessee federal court on Tuesday to reinstate certification in an antitrust class action against Dean Foods Co., Dairy Farmers of America Inc. and other dairy processors, saying the previous representation issues had been resolved.

In a motion made publicly available Tuesday, member farmers belonging to co-defendant DFA sought recertification after U.S. District Judge Ronnie Greer decertified the class in July amid a potential conflict of interest arising from counsel representation.
