Internet Machines Wins $1M Verdict In Expansion Card IP Suit

Law360, New York (February 29, 2012, 10:54 PM EST) -- A Texas federal jury on Wednesday handed Internet Machines LLC a $1 million verdict in its suit accusing six electronics makers of violating two of its patents covering high-speed computer expansion card connections.

The jury delivered its verdict after a weeklong trial, finding that all of Internet Machines’ claims on the two patents were valid and that the companies had willfully violated them by selling certain PCIExpress switches — devices used in a computer’s motherboard.
