Microsoft Lures Google Aggravator From FTC

Law360, New York (February 29, 2012, 11:31 PM EST) -- Microsoft Corp. has hired Federal Trade Commission attorney Randall Long, who led several antitrust investigations into acquisitions by its rival Google Inc., including the purchases of online advertiser DoubleClick and mobile advertiser AdMob Inc, according to Wednesday news reports.

Long, a deputy assistant director at the FTC, will serve as director of regulatory affairs for Microsoft in Washington, a Wall Street Journal report said.

Representatives for Microsoft and the FTC could not immediately be reached for comment Wednesday.
