Jury's Out On AU Optronics LCD Price-Fixing Case

Law360, New York (March 1, 2012, 7:54 PM EST) -- A California federal jury began deliberating Thursday whether Taiwanese electronics company AU Optronics Corp. and its executives conspired with other electronics makers to fix prices of thin-film transistor liquid crystal display panels, as prosecutors have alleged.

Prosecutors claim AUO, along with alleged co-conspirators LG Display Co. Ltd., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Sharp Corp. and others arranged a series of meetings between 2001 and 2006 in which the companies exchanged production, shipping, supply, demand and pricing information.
