Tyco Severs Rochester Antitrust Suit From Others

Law360 (August 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Rochester Medical Corp.'s antitrust claims against Tyco International (U.S.) Inc. have been severed from those against the other remaining defendant, setting the stage for an early 2008 trial.

A federal judge on Wednesday granted Rochester and Tyco's joint request to sever the claims in Rochester's second amended complaint, filed in the beginning of July, from the claims against the other remaining defendant, Novation LLC. The defendants in the severed action are Tyco and Tyco's affiliate, Tyco Healthcare Group LP.
