Elkay Asks ITC To Impose Steel Sink Duties On China

Law360, New York (March 2, 2012, 7:39 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Thursday launched a probe into an anti-dumping complaint brought by Elkay Manufacturing Co. alleging that China's government is providing subsidies that allow Chinese manufacturers to sell stainless steel sinks below market prices in the U.S.

The complaint, filed by Elkay on behalf of other U.S. manufacturers such as Kohler Co. and Moen Inc., alleges that Chinese producers are underpricing drawn stainless steel sinks imported to the U.S. to unfairly steal market share from U.S. makers of the products.
