Lloyds Fights Moody’s Bid To Toss Claims

Law360 (August 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Lloyds TSB Bank PLC is fighting a bid by Moody's Investors Service Inc. to dismiss claims that the company violated securities laws in a case that falls under the umbrella of the multidistrict litigation related to National Century Financial Services Inc.'s 2002 collapse.

In court documents filed Thursday, Lloyds criticized arguments set forth by Moody’s in its suggestion of additional authorities in support of its pending motion to dismiss Lloyds' case against the credit ratings, research and risk analysis provider.
