Mo. Residents Say Ameren Project Cuts Down Shore Access

Law360, New York (March 5, 2012, 7:18 PM EST) -- Missouri residents petitioned the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Monday to halt a 176.2-megawatt hydroelectric project proposed by utility company AmerenUE, saying its redrawn plans still infringe homeowners' property rights by limiting access to the Lake of the Ozarks shore.

In a motion filed with FERC, a local homeowners association and an individual homeowner protest the project and ask for intervention. They say a proposed change to the project was initiated without consulting area stakeholders and without a review by the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation...
