PTO To Reexamine Fujitsu's Patent In DRAM Dispute

Law360 (August 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In a promising sign for Nanya Technology Corp., the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has agreed to reexamine one of the Fujitsu Ltd.'s patents in ongoing litigation over Dynamic Random Access Memory and micro-controller units.

According to a patent office determination issued at the end of July, a prior art patent, U.S. Patent Number 5,739,909, raises “a substantial new question of patentability” as to certain claims in Fujitsu's patent document.
