PulteGroup Told To Cough Up $13.6M In Home Defects Fight

Law360, New York (March 6, 2012, 1:22 PM EST) -- Arbitrators have ordered five PulteGroup Inc. entities to hand $13.6 million to 460 Arizona homeowners in a dispute over construction defects, a lawyer for the homeowners said Tuesday.

Pulte Development Corp., Del Webb Corp., Del Webb Home Construction Inc. and others must shell out almost $7.9 million in damages and $5.7 million in legal, expert and arbitration costs to homeowners in Del Webb's Sun City Grand retirement community, according to Kasdan Simonds Weber & Vaughn LLP attorney Stephen Weber.
