RIM To Pay $450M to Settle BlackBerry Suit

Law360, New York (March 16, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Canada’s Research In Motion Ltd has agreed to pay $450 million to resolve NTP Inc.’s patent lawsuit over its Blackberry wireless devices.

Under terms of the agreement, NTP will grant the company and its customers the right to continue its BlackBerry-related wireless business without further interference from NTP or its patents.
