Ex-TWA Pilots Can't Form Own Committee In AMR Ch. 11

Law360, New York (March 6, 2012, 9:11 PM EST) -- A New York bankruptcy judge on Tuesday refused to authorize an official committee of former Trans World Airlines pilots in American Airlines Inc. parent AMR Corp.’s bankruptcy, ruling there was no evidence the creditors committee wasn't adequately representing the pilots.

In a ruling issued from the bench, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Sean H. Lane denied American Independent Cockpit Alliance Inc.’s motion to create an official committee to represent the interests of TWA pilots, according to AICA attorney Lucas K. Middlebrook of Seham Seham Meltz & Petersen LLP....
