Motorola, Others Accused Of Swiping Pay System Patent

Law360, New York (March 9, 2012, 1:47 PM EST) -- Swipe Innovations LLC lodged a suit against Motorola Solutions Inc., Honeywell International Inc. and others in Texas on Wednesday, claiming a dozen companies infringed a patent covering debit card payment devices.

In a complaint filed in Texas federal court, Swipe claims that defendants Motorola and Honeywell, along with ten other payment-processing equipment producers, imported, made and sold credit and debit card payment devices that infringed Swipe’s patented technology.
