FTC Honchos Say Proposed HQ Move Could Waste $100M

Law360, New York (March 8, 2012, 2:25 PM EST) -- Members of the Federal Trade Commission urged the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee on Wednesday to rethink a plan to relocate the FTC headquarters, a move the four commissioners say is unneeded and could cost more than $100 million.

In a letter sent to the transportation committee, FTC Chairman Jon Leibowitz and Commissioners J. Thomas Rosch, Edith Ramirez and Julie Brill told the congressional panel that the agency's current Washington home on Pennsylvania Avenue NW still suited the commission's needs.
