Bush Admin. Upholds ITC Ban On Mobile Phones

Law360 (August 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- President George W. Bush's chief trade advisor on Monday upheld the U.S. International Trade Commission's ban on cellular phones which contain an allegedly infringing Qualcomm Inc. chip from entering the U.S.

U.S. Trade Representative Susan C. Schwab said she was continuing the executive branch's practice of reviewing ITC orders “with restraint, reserving for extraordinary cases the power to disapprove the findings and orders of the USITC.”
