European Court OKs Gillette Compatible Razors

Law360, New York (March 17, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- In a setback for the Gillette Company, the European Court of Justice has given the green light to a Finnish company to market its razor blades as compatible with Gillette’s trademarked “Sensor” razor.

"Without being the owner of a trademark, a third party may use it in order to indicate the intended purpose of a product which it markets," the court said.
