AstraZeneca Whittles Down Seroquel Case

Law360, New York (August 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an increasingly bitter dispute in the multidistrict litigation over antipsychotic drug Seroquel, AstraZeneca LP asked a federal court on Tuesday to force the plaintiffs to substitute a case scheduled for discovery in September.

The drug company's request, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, came a day after it sought to have seven “improperly named defendants,” which include three units of AstraZeneca, dismissed from the case.
