Qualcomm Can't Enforce Patents, Must Pay Fees

Law360 (August 7, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge ruled on Monday that communications company Qualcomm Inc. could not enforce two of its patents on video display technology for phones against rival Broadcomm Inc. because it had hidden them from an industry regulating group.

The judge also found that Qualcomm had engaged in misconduct during the trial and ordered it to pay Broadcomm's legal fees.
