Ice Co. To Pay $2.7M To Settle With Indirect Purchasers

Law360, New York (March 13, 2012, 7:17 PM EDT) -- Home City Ice Co. on Monday reached a $2.7 million settlement with a class of indirect purchaser plaintiffs in a sprawling multidistrict litigation alleging the company conspired with industry peers to fix the price of ice.

The settlement agreement, which has yet to be approved, provides a $2.7 million settlement fund, injunctive relief and ensures cooperation by Home City against the remaining defendants, Arctic Glacier Inc. and Reddy Ice Corp., according to a motion to stay the proceedings against Home City filed in Michigan federal court....
