Suit Says Black & Decker Coffeemakers Are Defective

Law360, New York (March 14, 2012, 3:12 PM EDT) -- A Spectrum Brands Inc. subsidiary was hit Tuesday with a proposed class action in Florida federal court accusing it of manufacturing faulty Black & Decker-brand coffeemakers that pose safety risks to consumers.

Plaintiff Faith Messick brought the suit on behalf of consumers who bought the Spacemaker 12-Cup Programmable Under-The-Cabinet Coffeemaker in Delaware from the date it was first sold through the present.
