Indicted Atty Wants RICO Charges Tossed in Bribery Case

Law360, New York (March 14, 2012, 7:20 PM EDT) -- Attorney Marc Garrett Rosenthal of Rosenthal & Watson PC, indicted last summer in connection with a scheme to bribe a Texas judge, said Tuesday that some charges against him must be dismissed because federal prosecutors haven't shown a clear quid pro quo transaction.

Rosenthal, an Austin, Texas-based personal injury lawyer, was one of Texas federal prosecutors' targets in a bribery scheme probe that's netted guilty pleas from former Cameron County Judge Abel Corral Limas, ex-Texas lawmaker and Rosenthal colleague Jose "Jim" Solis, and a middleman....
