CORRECTED: Only 8 Of The Top 100 Firms Have Female Leaders

Law360, New York (March 16, 2012, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Of the 100 largest law firms, only eight have female attorneys in top leadership positions, according to Law360 research, a dismal number compared with the number of women who occupy the leading legal role in corporations.

While corporate America has long been making diversity a priority, experts said, Big Law often taps managing partners based solely on their rosters of clients and sometimes fails to take the time to groom prospective female leaders.
