Air Force Mortuary Bosses Face Strong Retaliation Penalties

Law360, New York (March 16, 2012, 4:39 PM EDT) -- The Dover Air Force Base mortuary officials who allegedly retaliated against whistleblowers who reported the mishandling of military veterans’ remains should be “substantially” disciplined, according to a U.S. Office of Special Counsel report released Friday.

The report said former Dover Air Force Base mortuary commander Col. Robert G. Edmondson, former mortuary director Quinton Randall Keel and former mortuary deputy director Trevor Dean were involved in several firings, suspensions and other disciplinary actions directed at four mortuary employees who raised concerns about how some remains were handled...
