Quest Software To Pay $16M Plus Royalties To Settle Computer Associates Lawsuit

Law360 (March 26, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Quest Software Inc. has agreed to pay Computer Associates $16 million plus royalties under a non-exclusive licensing agreement as part of a settlement of a copyright and trade-secrets lawsuit.

Under the agreement, Quest and Computer Associates said they would make no admission regarding fault or liability. The agreement settles Computer Associates’ lawsuit against Quest and also resolves Quest's counterclaims challenging the validity of certain Computer Associates copyrights, Computer Associates said.
