Kodak Seeks Probe Into Apple's Patent Claims

Law360, New York (March 19, 2012, 10:20 PM EDT) -- Eastman Kodak Co. asked a New York bankruptcy court on Monday for permission to investigate Apple Inc.’s claims that it owns 10 of Kodak’s patents, asserting Apple’s recent declaration is intended to interfere with Kodak’s efforts to sell its intellectual property portfolio.

The bankrupt photography giant contends that an examination is necessary to look into Apple’s claims, which Kodak says were announced for the first time Friday. The timing of these claims indicate Apple’s intentions to derail its portfolio sale, the company says.
