Elpida Wins Shelter From Patent Suits In Ch. 15

Law360, Wilmington (March 20, 2012, 7:45 PM EDT) -- Elpida Memory Inc. won protection Tuesday from various patent suits pending against the company in the U.S. as the Japanese chipmaker's Chapter 15 bankruptcy got under way in Delaware.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher S. Sontchi granted a preliminary stay of the suits while Elpida — a leading manufacturer of dynamic random access memory chips — works toward official recognition of its Japanese bankruptcy under Chapter 15.
