ITC Retains Anti-Dumping Duty On Silicon From China

Law360, New York (March 20, 2012, 5:21 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday upheld a decades-old anti-dumping order on silicon metal imported from China, saying the risk of continued dumping still poses a threat for domestic producers of the metals.

The commission, which voted 4-0 to keep the duties in place, made the decision after a required five-year review of the duty order, which dates back to June 1991. Commission chairman Deanna Tanner Okun did not participate in the sunset review, the ITC said.
