GoDaddy Faces Class Action Over Charges For 'Free' Offer

Law360, New York (March 21, 2012, 1:39 PM EDT) -- A disgruntled corporate customer lodged a putative class action against GoDaddy LLC in Arizona federal court Tuesday, accusing the Internet domain provider of illegally charging for private registration services it advertised as free.

WineStyles Inc. says it purchased 27 domain names in four separate purchases to receive what GoDaddy touted as a free offer keeping the identity of a domain owner out of a public database.
