Engine Co. Wants Parts Maker To Fund Plane Crash Deal

Law360, New York (March 23, 2012, 7:43 PM EDT) -- Precision Airmotive LLC on Thursday removed to Texas federal court a lawsuit demanding that it fund a settlement that Avco Corp. unit Lycoming Engines reached with victims of a 1999 plane crash following a $88.7 million jury verdict.

Lycoming assigned claims stemming from the settlement to Manufacturers Collection Co. LLC, which brought the suit against Precision, a company that manufactured carburetors for Lycoming's engines, according to a complaint MCC filed in Texas state court on Feb. 27.
