DC Circ. Renews CVS Pharmacies' Controlled Drug Sales Ban

Law360, New York (March 22, 2012, 10:17 PM EDT) -- The D.C. Circuit on Tuesday reinstated a ban preventing two of CVS Caremark Corp.'s Florida pharmacies from dispensing controlled prescription drugs after they were accused of filling suspicious orders for oxycodone.

One week after temporarily lifting the ban, the D.C. Circuit rejected CVS' request for an emergency motion to stay the order pending an appeal, finding that CVS "has not satisfied the stringent requirements for a stay pending appeal" and ordering the appeal to be expedited.
