Energy Investors Sells Black River Plant To ReEnergy

Law360, Los Angeles (March 23, 2012, 5:50 PM EDT) -- Energy Investors Funds, a private equity firm that targets traditional and renewable electricity investments, has sold a 55-megawatt coal-fired power plant on New York’s Fort Drum U.S. Army Base to ReEnergy Holdings LLC, the firm announced Friday.

Friday’s deal to transfer the Watertown, N.Y.-based Black River Generation plant to ReEnergy, which plans to convert it into a biomass power plant, marked the sale of the last material asset held by EIF’s $250 million United States Power Fund LP.
