Tyco, PwC Slam Moves To Add Claims In Fraud Suit

Law360 (August 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Industrial conglomerate Tyco International Ltd. has blasted a bid by New Jersey authorities to amend an already amended complaint of securities fraud, saying enough is enough.

The company, dogged by countless lawsuits stemming from allegations of a massive accounting scandal, argues the state should not be allowed to file a fourth amended complaint—five years into the case.

Tyco's auditor and co-defendant PricewaterhouseCoopers has also objected to the plaintiff's request, arguing the motion is “simply too late and unnecessarily threatens to prolong pretrial proceedings.”
