IBM Defeats Ind.'s Claims It Lied About $1.4B Project

Law360, New York (March 26, 2012, 6:19 PM EDT) -- An Indiana judge on Sunday threw out the state's 17 claims accusing International Business Machines Corp. of submitting false statements to the government in an epic legal fight over Indiana's termination of a $1.4 billion contract.

Marion Superior Court Judge David Dreyer said in his ruling that Indiana did not meet a requirement to show that IBM knowingly or intentionally provided false information to the government.
