Fen-Phen Lawyers Await Trial In Jail

Law360, New York (August 13, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Three lawyers accused of fleecing plaintiffs in a class action over Wyeth Pharmaceuticals' diet pill Fen-Phen won a delay of their impending trial on Friday, but lost their freedom after the federal judge revoked their bond.

Judge William Bertelsman of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky agreed to the three lawyers' request to push their trial date from Oct. 15 to Jan. 7, 2008. However, he remanded them to custody and sent them to jail.
