Entergy To Pay NY $1.2M For 2010 Hudson Oil Spill

Law360, New York (March 26, 2012, 5:57 PM EDT) -- Entergy Corp. will pay a $1.2 million civil penalty under a consent order with the New York Department of Environmental Conservation for Clean Water Act violations at its nuclear-powered Indian Point Energy Center, the department said Monday.

The company also agreed to upgrade the containment systems at the Buchanan, N.Y., facility to protect the Hudson River from accidental spills and unpermitted releases, according to the order.
