Stevens Investigator Under Fire As Hearing Looms

Law360, New York (March 27, 2012, 7:49 PM EDT) -- The court-appointed investigator who alleged prosecutors hid evidence from the Ted Stevens defense is now at the center of controversy himself as he prepares to testify Wednesday before Congress, with a number of former prosecutors insisting he ignored facts that contradicted his damning conclusions.

In a highly anticipated report released earlier this month, Washington attorney Henry F. Schuelke III said federal prosecutors intentionally withheld evidence from defense attorneys during their botched 2008 corruption case against the late Sen. Stevens, R-Alaska.
