Barr Granted Summary Judgment On Another Patent In Allegra Challenge

Law360, New York (April 3, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal court in New Jersey has granted summary judgment of non-infringement of one patent in generic maker Barr Pharmaceuticals Inc.'s patent challenge against Sanofi-Aventis’ Allegra allergy drug, Barr said.

In July, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey granted Barr a summary judgment stating that the drug company did not infringe three other Allegra-D patents held by Aventis, now a part of European drug company Sanofi-Aventis SA.
