International Code Council Sets Green Building Benchmarks

Law360, New York (March 29, 2012, 4:45 PM EDT) -- The International Code Council has released its first-ever green construction standards, establishing direction and oversight of sustainable construction and design for state and local governments seeking guidance for green building, the organization announced Tuesday.

Serving as a complement to voluntary ratings systems, the International Green Construction Code sets minimum green requirements for a construction project from start to finish, the ICC said.
