German News Agency Poised To Buy AP's French Service

Law360, New York (March 29, 2012, 6:00 PM EDT) -- The Associated Press is mulling a purchase offer for its French service made by the German news company DAPD Media Holding AG, the AP announced Thursday.

The renowned New York-based news service did not disclose the terms of the deal that would transfer ownership of its French arm, which has supplied domestic and international news to French-language outlets worldwide since the end of World War II.
