Ex-McKinsey Consultant Faces Retrial In Embargo Case

Law360, New York (March 30, 2012, 6:26 PM EDT) -- Prosecutors plan to retry a former McKinsey & Co. consultant whose conviction for violating a U.S. embargo by transferring money to Iran was partly dismissed in October, Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hernandez said in documents filed in New York federal court Thursday.

The government, which was given the option to retry Mahmoud Reza Banki in February, told the Southern District of New York at a Mar. 19 conference that it intended to do so, according to Thursday's filings.
