Mattel Hit With Suit Over Possibly Contaminated Toys

Law360 (August 14, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Mattel Inc. announced another major recall for millions of Chinese-made toys that could contain lead paint on Tuesday, as the embattled toy maker faces a purported class action over a similar recall issued earlier this month.

Mattel, the biggest U.S. toy company, and its Fisher-Price subsidiary were hit with the lawsuit on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York following an Aug. 2 recall of about 1 million toys, made in China, that may be contaminated with lead paint....
