Ex-Novartis Consultant's FCA Retaliation Suit Stays Alive

Law360, New York (March 30, 2012, 6:51 PM EDT) -- A former Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corp. sales consultant who says she was forced out for reporting dicey business practices can pursue a retaliation case under the False Claims Act, a Kentucky federal judge ruled Thursday.

Kentucky resident Alyson Goodwin sued the medical giant in 2011, alleging she was harassed and felt compelled to resign after blowing the whistle on potentially illegal company behavior.
