Ex-Fluor Manager Admits To Thievery At Iraqi Base

Law360, New York (April 2, 2012, 4:40 PM EDT) -- A former Fluor Corp. manager at an Iraqi military base pled guilty Monday in North Carolina federal court to taking part in a criminal scheme to steal military generators and sell them on the black market.

David John Welch, a 36-year-old from Hope Mills, N.C., agreed to pay the U.S. $160,000 in restitution as part of his guilty plea to a criminal information charging him with one count of conspiracy to steal property under a government contractor's control.
