Top Potato Shipper Wants Out Of Price-Fixing MDL

Law360, New York (April 3, 2012, 6:48 PM EDT) -- Potandon Produce LLC, the country's largest fresh potato shipper, asked an Idaho federal judge Monday to dismiss it from sprawling multidistrict litigation that accuses it of involvement in an alleged potato price-fixing conspiracy, saying attempts to connect it to the scheme are flimsy.

The company, which markets potatoes and onions under the Green Giant brand, has already had claims against it dismissed once, and contends that the direct and indirect purchasers who brought the suit have failed again in their amended complaint to prove Potandon helped...
